I’ll have mine with extra cruelty, please

Last night I had to prepare an impromptu dinner for one. I made a veggie burger with bacon and cheese. The burger was cooked in the bacon fat. It was delicious.

    Mamster got me sold on lard; I sometimes use it to cook turkey burgers. They taste really good!

    I’ve been meaning to find a local supply of it but it’s hard now that our farmer’s markets are closed for the season.

    Today I rendered the fat of 3 Eastern European orphans and sautéed some asparagus in it. It was delicious!
